Polyglycolic Acid Suture

MEGASORB is a mid-term absorbable braided and coated synthetic suture made of Polyglycolic acid. It degrades by hydrolysis and provides predictable and reliable absorption. MEGASORB suture is coated with a mixture of Caprolactone and Calcium Stearate. It is dyed violet by a FDA approved colour additive. It is also available in an undyed version.

• RETAINS 50% KNOT TENSILE STRENGTH FOR UP TO 21 DAYS
• COMPLETE MASS ABSORPTION BETWEEN 60 TO 90 DAYS

Indication

Used for general soft tissue approximation and/or ligation across suitable surgery types.
